Brainchild Educational Consulting
EmpowerMen is dedicated to the memory of my father, Attorney Reverend Ellis J. May III. May his quest for the advancement of black people remain alive in me.
Adamma Shani May-Lotsu is the founder of Brainchild Educational Consulting, a company focused on strengthening black youth and the greater community through the creation of products and services. Adamma graduated from Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and received a Master of Education, with a focus on Youth Development, from University of Illinois Chicago. She has 20 years of experience serving as an education and non-profit administrator in both public and private institutions.
Adamma has a track record of creating innovative, unique, immersive, and successful programming for black youth. For example, based on her grant proposal, the U.S. Department of Education awarded Malcolm X College, one of the city colleges of Chicago, more than $8M in funding for three of the programs Adamma developed. In addition, she co-founded a non-profit organization, Voices International, that provided mentoring and youth programming for underserved female youth in the Englewood community.
